weakness: hip hop love songs

Brilliant

i dont think theres many people that cant relate to this:

I hope that what I’m about to tell you really doesn’t ruin
Whatever we had and keep the two of us from doing the
Things we used to
You know just kicking it
Not really specific shit, just passing the time
Anyway I want to say that I’m impressed with your intellect
The way you’re dealing with concepts, I’m feeling it
Something on the order of mind sex it’s intimate
And I be fiending for dialect, beginning to dilate the gates of my respect
I’m giving it – unconditional too
‘Cause the person I think of first when I’m rehearsing is you
You’re the lady I think made me more personable
Remember when I took you to the spoken word
You came home saying it was the dopest shit that you ever heard
In a long time and can I find more places to chill
Sit back relax listen to jazz and build at
I felt that, and what I’m about to say now
Is that we’ve been kicking it long enough to figure out how
We’re looking at what we have between us two
I trust you, sometimes when I see you I lust you
I must do this to get it off of my chest
Forgive me if it’s taken too long to divest
But I guess, that what I really want to tell you is
Tell you is, tell you is.

I want you more than you would know
So let me share with you my soul
I can’t explain the way it feels when you are standing next to me
So if you want me let it show

Whatever you got to say I’m cool with it
That doesn’t mean that what I just told you I bull shitted
I’m serious about it but respect if you doubt it
‘Cause I know sometimes a friendship can get clouded
By the hidden feelings they be concealing from one another
Never tell’em the pain is swelling heavy undercover
Something happens and one gets trapped in lying to another
When really it’s kind of silly ‘cause they both want to be lovers
I’m sick of contemplating the thought on
Whether telling you how I feel is wrong or not wrong
No amount of philosophy can answer this question
It’s about how I’m feeling inside, so I’m professing with pride
My intentions is noble and true
And that’s all, there ain’t much more I got to say to you
And that’s all, there ain’t much more I got to say to you
And oh yeah, there one more thing I got to say to you

I want you more than you would know
So let me share with you my soul
I can’t explain the way it feels when you are standing next to me
So if you want me let it show

"The NFL announced Wednesday that they would be investigating players who throw up alleged gang signs during games.

After many tapes watched by Milt Ahlerich, the league's vice president of security, he declared that LaDainian Tomlinson was throwing up too many Wu-Tang Clan signs after first downs and touchdowns. The NFL has announced that LaDainian Tomlinson will be suspended for the first two games of the 2008 NFL season for his actions.

"The league does not approve of LaDainian's actions and holds him to a higher standard. We have repeatedly told 'LT' of these actions, but he just continued to keep showing the sign. The NFL needed to take action and show that we will not tolerate this, even from one of the best in the game," Ahlerich said in a statement.

LT, meanwhile, was available for comment when I ran into him at a record store in downtown Chicago, looking for Wu-Tang Clan's Greatest Hits. "Man, everyone knows that Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothin' to f*** with. I just love to show my appreciation for the best rap group of all-time," he said.

I agree with LT on this one, and he even pointed out that "cash rules everything around me." Hopefully he doesn't start complaining about his contract and miss training camp.

AJ Smith, the Chargers' General Manager, said, "The Chargers' organization is thoroughly disappointed in LaDainian's actions. We have warned him before, but he just kept saying that [the Wu-Tang Clan] ain't nothin' to f*** with and that we needed to chill out."

my friend alex shared this with me

"It's official, my mind is blown. Beyond the pledges of support from Colin Powell, Oprah, members of the Kennedy clan, and so on... we have statements of borderline support from members of a different "clan" altogether. The statements below just about put me on my ass. Their perverse yet seemingly sense driven logic is something that I never saw coming from these three men. The following pieces were taken from a recent Esquire Magazine article:

"The corporations are running things now, so it's not going to make much difference who's in there, but McCain would be much worse. He's a warmonger. He's a scary, scary person--more dangerous than Bush. Obama, according to his book, Dreams Of My Father, is a racist and I have no problem with black racists. I've got the quote right here: 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's white race.' The problem with Obama is he's being dishonest about his racial views. I'd respect him if he'd just come out and say, 'Yeah, I'm a black racist.' I don't hate black people. I just think it's in the best interest of the races to be separated as much as possible. See, I'm a leftist. I'm not a rightist. I hate the transnational corporations far more than any black person."

- Tom Metzger (Former KKK Grand Dragon, founder of White Aryan Resistance, and one time Geraldo guest responsible for a racially motivated brawl that resulted in the breaking of Rivera's nose.)

Secondly, this unexpected gem:

"Obama might be a better candidate for our cause because he's racially conscious. One of our big things in the National Alliance is to raise the racial consciousness of our people. Young whites in universities, they've been stripped of any kind of racial identity. Obama may be a racist in a positive sense for his people--that will awaken a lot of the whites, knock some sense into them. They'll see that non-white Americans are allowed to be proud of who they are, to be racially conscious, to talk about their people or their community without being attacked as being racist. Let's face it, white people aren't going to fight for their causes, for their kind with a white president. I don't think McCain even acknowledges that a white race exists. He's all about granting amnesty to illegal aliens. The fact he wants to keep us in wars in the Middle East for 100 years, that's not a good thing. I give Obama credit, he seems to have stuck to his guns as far as pulling the troops out of Iraq. He's a very intelligent man, an excellent speaker and has charisma. John McCain offers none of that. Perhaps the best thing for the white race is to have a black president. My only problem with Obama is perhaps he's not black enough."

- Erich Gliebe (Chairman of the National Alliance, Owner of Resistance Records, and former professional boxer under the nickname, "The Aryan Barbarian".)

And last but certainly not least:

"White people are faced with either a negro or a total nutter who happens to have a pale face. Personally I'd prefer the negro. National Socialists are not mindless haters. Here, I see a white man, who is almost dead, who declares he wants to fight endless wars around the globe to make the world safe for Judeo-capitalist exploitation, who supports the invasion of America by illegals--basically a continuation of the last eight years of Emperor Bush. Then, we have a black man, who loves his own kind, belongs to a Black-Nationalist religion, is married to a black woman--when usually negroes who have 'made it' immediately land a white spouse as a kind of prize--that's the kind of negro that I can respect. Any time that a prominent person embraces their racial heritage in a positive manner, it's good for all racially minded folks. Besides, America cares nothing for the interests of the white American worker, while having a love affair with just about every non-white on planet Earth. It'd be poetic justice to have a non-white as titular chief over this decaying modern Sodom and Gomorrah."

- Rocky Suhayda (Chairman of the American Nazi Party.)

Needless to say... though I obviously don't agree with much of their belief structure, I was completely dumbfounded while reading this. The "race traitor" argument goes right out the window when it comes down to the fact that the leaders of America's most prominent nationalist groups are in essence, pledging their support for a black commander in chief. All I can say is... wow... just... wow.
